On an exhibition space of 30,000 square metres, Hall 8 offers the right venue for the topic of “Future Mobility” to present other options in addition to the bicycle. Various special exhibition areas, theme islands and highlights coupled with numerous conferences shift the topic of mobility as a whole to the centre of attention and present it in a new light.
The following main topics are planned:
E-Mobility & E-Mobility Solutions
E-mobility in the form of e-bikes and pedelecs is already an important pillar on the route to a climate-friendly city. Yet the product range for electromobility is significantly broader: stand-up e-scooters, e-mopeds and LEVs have great potential as future options. Exhibitors from these fields will be able to showcase their ideas and innovations here.
Climate Protection & Sustainability
There are two sides to climate protection for the bike industry: firstly, it actively contributes to a better climate by supplying a clean form of mobility. Secondly, the industry itself is able to reduce emissions and the carbon footprint through improvements in production for example. Ultimately both of these aspects lead to the same result: a better environment for future generations. Hall 8 offers space for players who are presenting ideas around climate protection and sustainability.
Urban Mobility
Preparing urban transport today for the challenges of the future: more and more people in town and city councils are confronted with this important task: the exhibition space offers scope for new concepts – especially those concerned with how digital solutions can be integrated. Representatives of municipalities and associations will also find a space here to seek a dialogue with the bike industry and demonstrate their ideas.
Digitalisation & Service
The smartphone is becoming a universal key – mobility is in fact no longer restricted to one vehicle, but opens up many opportunities thanks to digitisation. Mobility as a service on demand. For example, when the right vehicle is available, at the right time and in the right place. The exhibition area offers space for digital solutions and new services for car pools and vehicle fleets.
Multimodal and Intermodal Offers
Travelling by urban rail into the city and using bike rental for the last mile – this combination of public transport network and bicycle has a future. What EUROBIKE in Frankfurt is already propagating and recommending as a practical solution for visitors travelling to the show is being taken to the next level: new cooperation opportunities and digital interfaces are taking centre stage.
Infrastructure
Tomorrow’s mobility needs a new infrastructure. This not only involves a major role for flowing traffic but also for stationary vehicles. The urban landscape has to change and create more parking spaces for bicycles and their alternatives. Micro-hubs for parcel services and the delivery traffic of the future will play a crucial role. This is where innovations and fresh ideas belong.
