The HL Mando rear detection system (parking aid) for cargo bikes aims to prevent collisions during reverse driving, thus contributing to increased safety for pedestrians and damage prevention for the cargo bike. During reverse driving of multi-track cargo bikes, visibility to the rear is limited. The HL Mando parking aid emits tones, the frequency of which increases as the cargo bike approaches an obstacle. Before the cargo bike collides with the obstacle, the HL Mando rear detection system stops the power transmission, bringing the cargo bike to a halt.

The ePedal (pedal generator) is the core component of the Serial Hybrid System (chainless drive) and digital driving. It can determine slope, speed, torque, direction of rotation, and speed through sensors. A specialized software allows for the individual adjustment of various properties and parameters such as pedal feel, different driving modes, reverse driving, recuperation, and climbing capability for the specific Pedelec. The ePedal controls the entire peripherals of the Pedelec such as motor, battery, and recuperation brakes via a CAN-based communication. All parameters of the overall system can be digitally accessed through an interface.
