Testing for product safety is one of the core tasks of the VDE Institute. It forms the
basis for all further tests. Since the foundation of the VDE Institute, the safety of the tested electrical products has been the most important focus of our tests.
With a VDE certification, manufacturers have the certainty that their product com[1]plies with the current normative and legal safety requirements as well as the recognized rules of technology. In doing so, we support manufacturers already during
the development process and thus ensure early error detection and cost savings.
Consumers can be sure that there is no danger from a VDE-tested product. The VDE mark
thus also ensures legal certainty in liability matters. For buyers, distributors and importers, the VDE mark also means a sure sign that their product meets all requirements.
