The Pinion Motor.Gearbox.Unit is the next generation of e-bike technology, as it combines motor and gearbox in a single unit. It combines a powerful electric motor with proven Pinion gearbox technology and electric shifting of up to 12 gears in a compact package to create a completely new drive system for e-bikes. The motor and gears are perfectly matched and work together like never before.

Pinion motor-gearbox units offer long-lasting shifting and motor performance at the highest level. They work carefree and reliably, without significant wear and tear and with minimal maintenance: an oil change every 10,000 km - that's it.

Thanks to Pinion Smart.Shift technology, the system shifts gears fully automatically in any situation and is able to change gear at lightning speed, even under full pedal load.

All Pinion drives are developed in Germany and assembled at the company headquarters in Denkendorf, near Stuttgart.
