Frankfurt am Main, 3 July 2024 – A total of 43 outstanding products from the bicycle and mobility industry were honoured at the Yellow Space in Hall 8 at the start of the leading international trade fair Eurobike. A high-calibre jury of experts selected the winners in advance from around 300 submissions from 35 countries and awarded prizes in nine categories. Eleven products received a gold award, one of which was also honoured with the “Start Up Award”. One product with a special focus on sustainability received the “Green Award”. The winning products and projects will be presented in a special exhibition during the trade fair.
The award-winning products showcase a wide range of innovative approaches – with solutions recognised in the categories of bicycles, e-bikes, light electric vehicles up to 45 km/h, mini electric vehicles, components, accessories, clothing and accessories, digital solutions and mobility solutions and infrastructure. This year, the focus was particularly on the highly functional improvement of existing systems and the consideration of sustainable aspects. The topic of sustainability is not only evident in the areas of material reduction and recyclability, but also in the form of socially motivated concepts and circular solutions. “The Eurobike Award significantly contributes to the further development of outstanding product innovations and innovative approaches in the areas of bikes and e-mobility through its accolades, thereby making a significant contribution to accelerating the mobility transition,” says Dirk Heidrich, Eurobike Project Manager at fairnamic GmbH.

This year, the international jury of experts honoured a total of 43 particularly impressive products and projects, which were selected from a total of 300 submissions in a two-stage selection process and evaluated according to criteria such as degree of innovation, functionality, design, processing quality, choice of materials and sustainability.

The “Green Award” went to the "Verde Kineticore" helmet for its sustainability and material reduction: at least 70 per cent of its weight is made from recycled materials, including old CDs. The “Start Up Award” went to the world's first parcel backpack “Pikapak 2.0”, which also received the gold award.
