Description

ZF Core Controller

The core controller serves as the central command interface and “computing center” for the ZF Bike Eco System, uniting all core operating functions via the buttons with a wireless Bluetooth interface for connection with the associated app. The core controller has a magnetic pogo-pin port on the top edge. This enables the user to charge their smartphone during the ride via a suitable cable with USB-C or lighting connector.

ZF Remote

The ZF Remote is an intuitive operating unit that is discreetly integrated into the cockpit of an e-bike. It can be used to switch between the various riding modes. An info button gives the rider access to the various screens of the ZF Color Display. There is also a button on the top of the ZF Remote for the walk assist. The haptic buttons always give the rider clear feedback, even on rough trails.

ZF Color Display

The high-resolution 2.8-inch ZF Color Display with touch function can be connected to the ZF Bike Eco System via the ZF Core Controller. The modern user interface contains three different screens. The "Ride" screen displays all important information for the driver. The "Connect" screen can be used to mirror information from the smartphone, including turn-by-turn navigation. The third variable screen can be freely configured using different tiles and displays a variety of different values.

ZF Bike Eco System

ZF Bike Eco System – the new, groundbreaking e-bike drive system from ZF condenses innovative technology and maximum performance into minimum space. The system enables bike rides that set new benchmarks not only in terms of range but also in comfort, convenience and connectivity.

The complete system consists of drive, energy management including battery, and the central control and operating unit on the top tube. With specific software, ZF can tailor this complete electric system to different use cases. Two versions will be available at market launch, which differ in terms of performance data and support torque: CentriX 90 with an assistance torque of 90 Nm and a maximum output of 600 watts and CentriX 75 with an assistance torque of 75 Nm and a maximum output of 450 watts.
The ZF Bike Eco System is based on a 48-volt architecture and delivers 250 watts of continuous power. With a weight of just 2.5 kilograms, CentriX is extremely light compared to similarly powerful drive units. The two versions CentriX 75 and CentriX 90 make the ZF drive system suitable and attractive for a wide range of use cases. For example, the 75 Nm support power is suitable for gravel, commuter or urban bikes, while the 90 Nm support is ideal for e-MTBs, e-SUV bikes or e-trekking bikes.Open architecture The ZF Bike Eco System is an open system that provides interfaces and integration options for third-party providers. Bicycle manufacturers are therefore very flexible in their choice of additional components and benefit from easy installation, for example through simplified cabling and uncomplicated installation of the motor within a few minutes.Intelligent integration in frame
All sockets are located throughout the frame to enable straightforward integration of all components. This intelligent configuration significantly simplifies wiring.
