Gustav, the founder of MAGURA, was a thinker and innovator of his time. His constant drive for progress inspired a brake system that revolutionised the scene in the 90s:

Since then, the name GUSTAV has been reserved for those products that achieve the highest degree of innovation and performance progress - and this is exactly that! With the new GUSTAV PRO, MAGURA presents a new disc brake for E-MTB use as well as for gravity and SUV mountain bikes. It is so much more than just raw braking power!

Performance in the Name.

Anyone familiar with the MT7 knows that we are serious about performance. With this one, we've gone one better! For more control, later braking points and less arm pump. Because anyone can build brakes that stop light bikes. But our latest one stops even the heaviest with ease. With 2.5 mm thick brake discs and 40 % more pad volume, MAGURA opens up a new era of bicycle brakes. For consistent performance from the summit to the valley!

Thanks to their mass, brake discs and pads heat up much less and stay in the sweet spot for longer. In this sweet spot, the brake can constantly offer its best performance thanks to optimum friction values. Fading is a foreign concept for them.

When you reach for the lever, you will immediately feel how intuitive our brakes are to operate.

By enlarging the pistons to 12 mm in the brake lever and 19 mm in the caliper, we have reduced the overall pressure level. This means that less pressure is lost through elasticity, e.g. by spreading the line. The result is a defined pressure point with very good modulation. Despite its power, the GUSTAV PRO offers a smooth braking feel like no other brake and therefore provides maximum safety in every situation. Even under full load, the rigid 2.5 mm brake discs and the low heating of the system ensure vibration-free and therefore particularly quiet braking. The GUSTAV PRO is fully compatible with the Bosch eBike ABS.

For more miles. Less worries.

No-one likes spastic brakes. That's why we've doubled the time to maintenance: extra thick brake pads with 40 % more volume and thick 2.5 mm brake discs with a 2.1 mm wear limit keep you out of the workshop.

Wear plays a particularly important role for modern e-bikes. Their weight, power and speed have placed new demands on braking systems. With the GUSTAV, annoyingly short maintenance intervals are finally history. And if you do need to visit the workshop, a large air gap between the pad and brake disc and a new bleeder valve will make things much easier for you!

Installation with Ease!

With the MAGURA EASY LINK technology, MAGURA offers a simple plug'n play connection of the brake hose, known from the MAGURA ABS components and the MAGURA cockpit integration. On the GUSTAV PRO, MAGURA has now integrated the technology invisibly into the brake lever of a disc brake for the first time.

This means you can disconnect and connect your cable from the brake lever at any time and without special tools. A real game changer for initial assembly and all maintenance work on the bike - not least for awkward headset cable routing. And if the inevitable happens and you have to repair crash damage, EASY LINK is also your best friend.

MAGURA VYRON MDS-V3 seatpost, travel 100 - 175 mm, Ø 30.9 or 31.6 mm

For ultimate trail fun, the inner hydraulics are uncompromisingly designed for speed, and communication between the remote and the dropper seat post is also instantaneous, thanks to Bluetooth. The intuitive operation corresponds to that of conventional, wired seat posts: the dropper seat post will continue travelling while your thumb is actuating the operating lever.

To protect the electronic control unit, the new VYRON MDS-V3 dispenses with a charging socket, relying instead on a sealed battery cover. A replaceable CR2 lithium battery with a service life of at least one year is used for the power supply. Thanks to this pioneering battery concept, the new VYRON is IP67-certified and will even survive brief immersions in water – ready for the most challenging days on the trail.
