Fictitious dialogue from innobike's development department. Question: "Can our tried and tested 105 chain fluid be made even better?" Answer: "In principle, yes, or at least it can be varied cleverly." The solution is the 106 Chain Fluid Plus and thus a bike chain fluid that focuses on the aspect of lubricant.

For this purpose, we have changed the recipe a little and used more lubricant and a little less detergent. Why the whole thing? Quite simply because those who buy bicycle chain oil show very different usage patterns. Above all, those who want a regularly cleaned and clean chain may stick with the 105.

The 106 Kettenfluid Plus is bike care for long journeys and acts as a perfect lubricant and corrosion protection. You don't need it that often because it lubricates much better and if you also want to clean, simply use our Fluid Bundle together with the tried and tested 105.

Correctly recognized: the 106 Kettenfluid Plus was originally developed as a supplement to the 105 and has now proven itself as a long-distance product. The many advantages offered by all of our products also apply here. When oiling bicycle chains, we use our own lubrication technology and ensure that the chain is oiled in and not on the chain. The bicycle chain lubrication is therefore completely sustainable and of course handling is just as easy as with all of our other products. You don't need to remove your chain, no gasoline bath or cleaning device, you can just get started and be amazed at the enormous effect.

Step-by-step instructions

  • By using the brush attachment, apply 106 KETTENFLUID PLUS to the small sprocket in the rear
  • Turn the pedals backwards in freewheel mode and spray continuously until 106 KETTENFLUID PLUS drips at the large bottom bracket sprocket
  • Allow 4 to 6 hours to take effect. During this time, the cleaner contained in the fluid evaporates and a thin, non-abrasive lubricating film remains on the chain.

105 High Tech Chain Fluid works in 4 excellent ways

It lubricates and is a real allround Product. But that's not all, because our 105 high-tech chain fluid, aka 105, can do a lot more. We are talking about a bicycle chain oil including bicycle chain lubrication and a bicycle cleaner. The technical basis comes from our industrial sector and has also been in use in large machines for many years. Thanks to our technology, these never stand still and our chain fluid also ensures more longevity and more efficient progress.

But first things first, starting with a little technology and chemistry. Our bicycle oil is fully synthetic. In direct comparison with a mineral oil, this results in a noticeably better lubricating performance, but the production and refinement is also much more complex. Synthetic bicycle chain oil can be perfectly combined with additives and offers considerable added value compared to simple mineral oil products. So far, so good, but let's go one step further.

The 105 high tech chain fluid is not only suitable for oiling bike chains but also for bike care. If you want to buy a good bicycle chain oil, you should know that we have also added detergent substances. In other words, it is not only lubricated, but also cleaned at the same time, which a simple bicycle chain oil cannot do. We offer a bicycle chain cleaner and bicycle chain lubrication in one and save - if you want to put it that way - one work step.

The washing substances have been specially optimized for use on bicycle chains. We also call this extremely penetrating, meaning that our bike cleaner really penetrates into every corner and does its job there. Inner chain bearings, chain drive bushings, tight fits - all particles that have deposited are removed. It goes without saying that cleaning is also carried out outdoors.

What follows the cleaning can be effectively referred to as “pure magic”. Don't worry: we don't want to exaggerate and just point out factually that the solvent in our bike chain fluid evaporates after around six to eight hours and the chain is clean again. What remains is the bicycle chain lubrication, which takes place through a thin film of lubricant and minimizes any further dirt adhesion. What is special about it is that it is an inner bearing lubrication and not only the surface can be enjoyed.

We would like to emphasize this aspect again, because not every cyclist is so familiar with the subject. A bicycle chain oil is good if it lubricates the parts that work on a chain. In other words, the chain doesn't need to shine and look chic on the outside, but rather it has to run and run and run. This is possible if the inner bearings are lubricated and the lubricant actually "penetrates" the entire chain.

What sounds complicated couldn't be easier to use. Our bicycle chain oil, including bicycle chain lubrication and bicycle cleaner, takes a maximum of five minutes of your time. And no: you don't have to remove the chain, you don't need a petrol bath, no special cleaning device (although we recommend our brush) and no rag. Just you, your chain and the chain oil - that's it!

By the way, you can also use our bicycle oil on other moving parts. The brakes are excluded. The Bavarian Cycling Association has been relying on our top product for around ten years. Hopefully you will soon too, because you will quickly notice the difference and be amazed.

    107 XTREME CHAIN FLUID

    Whoever says 105 or 106 must also say 107. The 107 Extreme Chain Fluid is the logical result of our further thinking in the field of bicycle chain oil, bicycle chain lubrication and bicycle chain cleaner. 105 is the classic and all-rounder, 106 emphasizes the lubricating effect more and the 107 Extreme Chain Fluid consistently continues on this path. The result: this bicycle chain oil hardly cleans, but it is incredibly strong. The corrosion protection for your bike couldn't be bigger and a thin layer is enough, which is created both inside the chain and between the individual links as well as all around. To clean again you can easily use the 105 high tech chain fluid.

    When do you need the 107 Extreme Chain Fluid? Quite simply: whenever the weather - to put it in English - is “extreme”. Hence the name by which we mean rain, cold, wet, snow and of course road salt. Basically, we could also speak of a chain fluid for the winter and so it is mainly all-weather riders who order this bike chain care from us.

    Anyone who wants to buy a bicycle chain oil for mountain bikes (MTB) is on the safe side with the 107 and enjoys a long protection interval. The bicycle chain lubrication is enough for much more than just one tour and even rain cannot harm this excellent care product. Thanks to adhesive additives, there is no throwing off and the chain fluid does what it is supposed to: lubricate & protect, and really.

      The advantage that we offer with our bicycle cleaner is the adhesive force on all vertical surfaces. Thanks to its special composition, the bicycle cleaner does not run off directly, but works for a significantly longer time before gravity triumphs in the end. This process works both on metal and on plastic, on carbon or on matt lacquer and chrome-plated surfaces and always equally well.

      • In case of heavy soiling, first roughly clean the bike with a strong jet of water
      • Shake 205 Bike Cleaner active FOAM and spray from approx. 10 to 20 cm over a large area or selectively if needed

      • Rinse surfaces with water or wipe with a soft cloth
