Performance Disc Brake Pads
Description
VORTEX COOLING TECHNOLOGIES
Engineered for heat control, stable braking performance, and extended pad life.
VORTEX Cooling Technologies are designed to improve heat dissipation during braking, helping maintain consistent braking performance under demanding riding conditions.
Heat Removal 1: Conduction
An oversized backing plate provides greater mass and a larger surface area to conduct heat away from the friction material more efficiently.
Heat Removal 2: Convection
Protruding pyramid fins increase the surface area exposed to airflow, improving heat transfer from the backing plate to the atmosphere.
Heat Removal 3: Vortex Cooling
“V” fins accelerate cooling by generating local air vortexes, allowing heated contact air to be continuously replaced by cooler passing air.
Key Benefits
- Improved braking stability under heavy use
- Reduced brake fade during long or repeated braking
- Lower heat transfer toward the brake piston and brake fluid
- Longer pad life under demanding riding conditions
- Reduced noise caused by excessive pad and rotor temperature
