By combining AI, data, and industry-specific workflows, Mr. Spoke AI promises to be more efficient, user-friendly and even sustainable.
Croozer “Kid Lykke”
Croozer is presented a Eurobike Award for their kids’ trailer “Kid Lykke”. The main reason is the trailer’s key feature, its folding mechanism, which enables it to be collapsed to 40 cm width. Although the mechanism is well known from wheelchairs and walkers, it is new for bike trailers. It makes Lykke very easy and comfortable to use and saves a lot of space when storing it, albeit it being a two-seater. The jury underlines the high quality of the design and materials used and deems Lykke very useful for urban families that have limited space available.
Lion Bikes “Light 24”
A Eurobike Award goes to manufacturer Lion Bikes for their kids’ bike “Light 24”. The bike appeals to kids and parents alike, say the judges, most of whom are parents themselves. For kids, the jury reckons, it is a “super cool looking and lightweight” bike standing out with the integration of lights and reflective paintjob. For grown-ups the safety aspects of the retroreflective frame and integrated lights as well as the “growing” feature, realized with a 3-step reach adjust headset, are most important. The frame made in Germany consists of polyamide and recycled carbon fibers, which are super strong and adds to product sustainability.
Nijland Cycling “Suelo”
The jury grants a Eurobike Award to the “Suelo” low-step Bike by Nijland Cycling. Made for people with a balance handicap it is all about safety and comfort – and a very low step-through. While the design is rather functional all members of the jury are delighted with how nicely and casually it feels to ride the Suelo. Being able to put both feet on the ground at any time provides a great feeling of control, especially at low speed, the judges unanimously point out. It was obvious how experienced Nijland Cycling is with products that grant mobility for people with disabilities. “We will need a lot of those bikes in the future”, one judge says.
Rohloff “E14 Solo”
“Evolution trumps revolution”! The Rohloff 14 gear hub has been available mostly unchanged for almost 30 years now and is a true legend. The electric shifting system E14 for e-bikes marked Rohloff's most important evolution. The new e-shifter “E14 Solo” receives very high praise from the jury and a Eurobike Award for various reasons: It is made for regular bikes, it’s backward compatible so it can be mounted with every Rohloff hub in use – and it shifts very smoothly. Also the system is open and may be paired with any open shifter. The jury would have granted a special award to Rohloff for an outstanding evergreen product if such an award was available.
T&D “Semi Solid State Battery”
The “Semi Solid State Battery” by Chinese manufacturer T&D represents a new generation of e-bike batteries that the judges deem a game-changer. They highlight two important aspects: Semi-solid-state technology promises improvements in safety and higher energy density that allows lighter batteries while maintaining the capacity. One judge is certain that this technology “will change looks and design flexibility of e-bikes” as it will be developed further. Another judge emphasizes: “This is not a small detail but real future technology.” Agreeing that this is “what the industry needs” the jury grants the “Semi Solid State Battery” a Eurobike Award.
Thule “Epos Parksecure”
“Epos Parksecure” by Thule is a towbar bike rack featuring integrated parking sensors. It mounts to a car's trailer hitch and carries up to two or three bikes – depending on the version. The jury decides to give it one of the prestigious Awards, agreeing that the innovative new feature “further enhances usability, particularly when reversing with the rack mounted” while “design and build quality are premium throughout and consistent with Thule's reputation.” One judge elaborates that the spacing between the rails is generous enough for large and bulky e-bikes and states that this is “a practical advantage often overlooked in this category.”
Winner GREEN AWARD
Smoovotech “Mika”
“Mika” by Smoovotech GmbH is a kid's balance bike made sustainably in Germany. It uses a main frame made of locally sourced beech wood and various parts made from recyclable carbon composites. The jury unanimously likes the cute design and how well it is made. Characteristic is the 12 inch rear wheel in combination with a 14 inch wheel in the front. One judge points out that this is one of those eye-catching products that made them go “Uh” and wanting to take a closer look. Thus the jury decorates Mika for its artistic and environmental qualities unanimously with a Eurobike Award.
Winner START-UP-AWARD
“Foldee”
The jury praises the Australian-made startup cargo bike “Foldee” for its simplicity as “just a bike” and emphasizes how light it feels when you pick it up and its nimble ride qualities even with heavy cargo. One of the judges points out that the bike exceeds expectations and states a “surprise how easy it steers even when loaded”. The judges also like the idea of a cargo bike that folds to the size of a regular bike, making it “good for people who have difficulties storing it at home.” The judges think there is room for improvement with the current folding mechanism, but this does not alter their verdict.
Other EUROBIKE AWARD Winners
All other winners of the EUROBIKE Award 2026, listed in alphabetical order.
Avinox “Heart Rate Control System”
The “Heart Rate Control System” from e-bike drive unit supplier and DJI subsidiary Avinox connects the e-bike to a heart rate monitor and enables it to control the bike's power assist in a way that the rider's heart rate stays in a chosen target zone. The judges like this solution as a genuinely novel idea that goes beyond standard assist modes. They see potential in performance and fitness as well as in health-related applications. One member of the jury points out that “power assist tuned to real-time physiological signals like heart rate rather than power meter data could be a genuine game-changer.”
B Horizon “Steady Ride Thru Axle”
The jury rewards the “Steady Ride Thru Axle” by Swiss manufacturer B Horizon with a Eurobike Award. The Axle provides a universal solution to mount a kick stand, a trailer hitch, a rack and fenders, separately or simultaneously to any through-axle equipped bicycle frame that by design lacks the respective mounting points. With one axle replacing several other axle standards it also has a sustainability case, one judge points out. A Swiss design, the Steady Ride Thru Axle is produced in Europe, which appeals to the judges as well.
Berd “Trudi Wheel Truing System”
The jury would like to grant a Eurobike Award to Berd for their “Trudi Wheel Truing System”. Wheel building is a rather difficult and costly process – with the help of algorithms, Trudi is designed to drastically reduce the initial truing of a newly built wheel to a five-minute step. One member of the jury notes that the mechanized approach to a process that is traditionally time-consuming and highly dependent on specialized expertise represents a true innovation. It marks a milestone and could potentially revolutionize the industry and the wheelset retail sector.
Canyon “Defend Fast Fenders”
The “Defend Fast Fenders” by Canyon receive a Eurobike Award for being a clever and very well-designed solution for a real-world problem. The jury is impressed with how quick and easy the fenders can be installed and removed using quick-release skewers inside the bike's thru-axles. One judge noted that the fact that Defend is a proprietary solution for Canyon gravel bikes is a benefit because it allows a design that is functionally and visually better than universal solutions. The fenders made in collaboration with well-known manufacturer Curana “look at home on the bike”. Another member of the jury is enthusiastic that “this approach could evolve into a new mounting standard for fenders.”
Canyon “Roadlite:ON CF”
The “Roadlite:ON CF” by Canyon is a stylish and clean urban e-bike. A carbon frame combined with Bosch’s new rear hub motor makes for a lightweight and nimble bike. The jury finds it beautiful, very easy to ride, the handling very intuitive and the e-support just pleasant. One judge appreciates: “It’s just a bike. With a motor.” The bike’s integrated features like lighting and radar receive a special mention for workmanship and understatement. All around the design verdict reads: “Minimalistic, reduced, no showoff.”
HP Velotechnik “Delta tx”
The “Delta tx” made by HP Velotechnik receives a Eurobike Award 2026, because it makes riding a bike possible and even very easy for people with physical handicaps. In an aging society with ever growing individual mobility needs bikes like the Delta tx help to maintain access to social participation and self-determined mobility. As a tricycle it rides very stable, the jury found and is also very comfortable to mount and to use. The judges particularly like the cardan steering which combines an easy entry with familiar and ergonomically placed controls.
Horna “Ruffboxx Regular”
“Ruffboxx Regular” by German packaging specialist Horna gets an Award for offering an option to pack a complete bike without disassembly. The members of the jury see this as a “real and practical gain for anyone operating at volume.” They highlight that there is no need to pull the bike out of the box which they think is a benefit especially considering the weight of e-bikes. The jury also acknowledges the efforts to design the system sustainably and considers its reusability. Recognizing that some big brands use similar solutions one judge suggests that Ruffboxx might be great for smaller brands who can't develop their own packaging.
It’s on my mind “Pressure”
The jury gives an award to the small tire pressure checking device “Pressure” by startup It’s on my mind. The judges agree on the importance of correct tire pressure and that a simple solution that works quickly and easily even for untrained people might be a great way to promote cycling with a better ride quality. They discuss that the “tiny torque wrench for tires” is a “smart and elegant solution” requiring “no electronics, no valve connection and no battery” in favor of simplicity. One member of the jury proposes Pressure might even be a good solution for bike sharing service staff.
KMC “Enduro X”
“Enduro X” by Taiwanese brand KMC is a system of attuned chains, cassettes and chainrings. The jury recognizes KMC's long standing experience in manufacturing bicycle chains and welcomes the efforts to go the next step and offer the three important drivetrain components optimized to work together as smoothly as possible. One judge elaborates: “In terms of efficiency and wear of cassettes and chains, the better they are aligned, the better the system is. This is absolutely an advancement.” Another judge sees improvements in lots of details and acknowledges the engineering. The jury agrees to grant the “Enduro X” a Eurobike Award.
Pikio Labs “Pikio Si”
The jury grants a Eurobike Award to Pikio Lab’s road bike helmet “Pikio Si”. In terms of safety features and sustainability the helmet is “a big step forward”, the judges agree. “It marks a real innovation and new approach to impact management”, one judge notices. Another says: “The Oblik system represents a genuinely new approach to helmet architecture from the ground up. A nodal structure inspired by natural bone mechanics” might just be the way to combine low weight and ideal airflow for cooling. Despite all innovations the jury still sees room for design improvements.
Supernova “Superdropper”
Supernova receives a 2026 Eurobike Award for its “Superdropper” dropper post with an integrated rear light. In collaboration with automotive supplier Gabriel, the company successfully solved a technical challenge for the first time, with Supernova’s signature quality and elegant design. The jury is impressed with the product and unanimously highlights its clean tech, looks, and safety. Already standard on mountain bikes, dropper posts slowly gain more popularity on regular bikes, with the lowered saddle adding safety when stopping and starting. The jury also highlights the brake light function and the bike’s compliance with German road traffic regulations (StVZO).
Universal Transmissions “UTgear H2”
“UTgear H2” by Universal Transmissions is a simple solution to equip a rear hub motor powered e-bike with a 2-gear planetary gearset, but it can also be fitted to regular rear hubs. H2 promises clean singlespeed looks and is compatible with chain and belt drives. The jury is surprised by the system and how flawlessly the shifting works – even under load. One judge says “The combination of hub shifting and a rear hub drive is an amazing product! We’ve been waiting for this kind of solution for so long!” Another judge mentions how easily the design integrates into the bike's drive system. Several jury members would love to take the test bike home.
Zeno “Q-Connector V2 Hydraulic Quick”
Zeno’s “Q-Connector V2 Hydraulic Quick” allows users to disconnect and reconnect hydraulic systems without bleeding the system afterwards – a highly practical solution to an existing problem, as one jury member notes. This is particularly useful for frames with internal cable routing, when replacing components, or when disassembling bicycles for transport. The jury appreciates how the slim 6.5-millimeter diameter couplings complement all types of integrated cable routing and that the bayonet connectors can be used without tools. The Zeno Connector thus provides a bit more flexibility in areas where bicycles have become more technically complex due to internal cable routing.
