The E-MTB Interactive Riding Scenario Platform, developed as an outcome of the Common Protocol, will be showcased at EUROBIKE 2025. It emphasizes indoor interactive riding scenarios, service system connections, and integrates a composite control system for shifting, assistance, suspension, and seat height adjustments.

CHC partnered with the Taiwan Bicycle Association (TBA) to launch the Cycling Common Protocol Alliance in 2024, aiming to develop standardized solutions for the electric-assisted bicycle sector — including e-bikes, handcycles, and electric tricycles. Its primary focus areas include communication protocols, connectors, power systems, and sensors, with the aim of enhancing compatibility of the e-bike.

CHC has launched an E-MTB equipped with an automatic gear shifting system. Implementing Model-Based Design (MBD) technology for high-end full suspension E-bike frames to accelerate the design process and shorten the development cycle.

The intelligent automatic shifting system is integrated into the mid-drive system with intelligent shifting control algorithms. It supports switching between manual and automatic modes, able to control the cadence and power through hold modes, and allows the internal parameter settings and stepless assist ratio adjustments.

The products’ features enable automatic gear shifting based on the rider’s selected smart mode and parameter settings, ensuring an optimized and responsive riding experience.

Hosted by CHC with the supervision and support from the Department of Industrial Technology, Ministry of Economic Affairs of R.O.C. (DOIT, MOEA), the International Bicycle Design Competition (IBDC) has entered its 26th edition. Founded in 1996, the mission of IBDC is to encourage innovative bicycle designs and original bicycle ideas to be created.
To date, IBDC has attracted 14,721 entries from 87 countries worldwide. In addition to the competition, expert meetings, design workshops, design forums, and matchmaking events are organized to further strengthen IBDC as a bicycle innovation service platform, facilitating the exchange of global design talent and resources.

The 3rd ESG Global Initiative Forum, organized by the Bicycle Alliance for Sustainability (BAS), was held on March 26, 2026, bringing together representatives from government, industry, and academia from Taiwan and abroad. Building on the previous two forums, this year’s event focused on human rights, climate action, and low-carbon transition, highlighting the bicycle industry’s continued commitment to sustainability.
