Description
The deuter Compact bike backpack – unmatched riding comfort for the toughest enduro adventures
Charging at top speed across tree roots, jumping over rock steps, and banking hard round steep corners – challenging enduro trails are not just strenuous on riders, but also ask a lot of their gear too. As the terrain becomes more challenging, it soon becomes clear whether your backpack is going to sit snug – an important safety aspect. For backpack pioneer deuter, safety has always been a top priority. The deuter design team has focused on creating a wrapping, snug fit for the Compact enduro backpack. This has resulted in a sleek, compact shape for the backpack. Which means bikers have full range of movement for speedy reactions and can maintain an optimum riding position.
Whether it’s cranking hard in the bike park, or embarking on a long trail, it’s always best to take some tools, rain gear and a bit of food with you. But it’s also important that the gear you carry doesn’t get in the way. That’s why deuter has come up with the latest version of its Compact backpack which, as the name suggests, is highly compact, functional, and as light as possible. The vest-style shoulder strap design and wide, adjustable hip fins give the Compact a snug, wrapping fit for zero load wobble on tough trails with drops and tree roots. It maintains a steady center of gravity and balances the load evenly. Which means you can direct your full focus on the trail. A sternum strap with single-handed buckle operation gives it added cinching support.
Despite the the Airstripes back system’s body-hugging, compact fit, the ventilation is effective and prevents sweat build-up on the back. And the Airstripes back system has been weight optimized. The lighter materials used give it an improved comfort-to-weight ratio. This relieves strain on the back – whether it’s on a short downhill blast, or a long day out.
When it comes to features and organization, the Compact also proves it’s an enduro pro. The helmet holder accommodates a full-face or half-shell helmet. The Compact also comes with attachments for protective gear. The women’s SL models, in either 12-liter or 14-liter volume, are extendable by 3 liters. Which means it can also be used for longer bike tours with more gear. Inside there is a dedicated sleeve for a hydration bladder of up to 3 liters. And to ensure that everything you need is close to hand, the Compact has a tool compartment, two hip fin pockets and two stretch mesh side pockets. A cell phone pocket, compression straps and a rain cover round off this compact yet capable biking partner.
Aside from its exceptional fit and functionality, the Compact has exemplary environmental credentials. This bluesign® accredited product is made from recycled materials and is PFAS free. It also carries the Green Button label and is ClimatePartner certified.
